Job Purpose
To support employees of GGH using computers and the software necessary to perform their daily duties as well as maintain the IT infrastructure of GGH entity to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of GGH IT infrastructure, minimize downtime, and support seamless day-to-day operations for all employees.
Duties and Tasks
Deliver high-quality onsite and remote support to end users, including senior executives. Diagnose and resolve technical issues involving PCs, servers, mobile devices, printers, networks, video conferencing, WMS devices, CCTV cameras, time and attendance and access control systems efficiently and with minimal user disruption.
Configuration, installation, testing, patching of the above-mentioned hardware and related software.
Oversee the local IT infrastructure and take immediate action to resolve any outages that occur as quickly as possible. Efficiently coordinate support and problem resolution with remote IT teams or vendors.
Enhance the technology experience by showing users how to best use technology to deliver productivity and efficiency benefits. Be on the front line of corporate technology, implementations, new technologies, and preparing teams for use and supporting technologies through their lifecycle.
Provide proactive maintenance, monitoring systems to prevent potential issues. Also, give recommendations for repairing, upgrading, decommissioning, and purchasing IT hardware and software.
Respond promptly to IT support tickets, in-person requests, calls or Teams messages, escalating complex issues to senior staff or external vendors as needed.
Develop a knowledge base of resolved issues to assist in future problem-solving.
Track and maintain hardware/software inventory and update IT documentation to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
Participate in investment projects, support annual budget planning, and monitoring of actual expenditures.
Manage your time effectively to complete tasks efficiently, prioritize correctly, and maintain the required level of quality, all in alignment with the objectives set by your supervisor.
Execute additional tasks as assigned by superiors to support GGH objectives, maintain operational continuity, and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the organization.
Required Qualifications & skillset
Bachelor/Master Degree (desirable) - BSc or MSc degree in IT, electronics, electrical engineering, or automation
3 – 5 years in similar position
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to work independently and with teams.
Strong organizational and administrative skills with a sincere desire to help.
Ability to communicate and build strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
Knowledge of Information Technologies (fundamental concepts, systems, platforms, tools, and technologies, hardware, software, and services), the widespread application of IT in manufacturing industry, and the common roles of IT professionals.
Understand concepts of server, desktop, application, and virtualization. Understand the purpose and function of fundamental communication system hardware, including end user devices, switches, routers, cabling, wireless access points. Very good knowledge of Windows 10/11.
Experience with ITSM systems. Familiarity with enterprise imaging and updating tools. Understanding of TCP/IP network. Familiarity with ITIL.
