Position: Java Backend Developer with Kubernetes
Location: Vadodara
Role Overview
We are seeking a Java Backend Developer to support the development, enhancement, and modernization of MDES applications. The candidate should have hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Kubernetes and be comfortable working in an Agile engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices components.
- Support containerization and Kubernetes migration activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Implement application enhancements and region-specific configuration changes.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following established coding standards.
- Develop unit tests and support integration testing and defect resolution.
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline execution, deployment validation, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with developers, SDET engineers, and technical leads during sprint delivery.
- Assist in application documentation, knowledge sharing, and production issue investigation. Mandatory Technical Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
- Good working knowledge of Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Microservices.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker, including basic application deployments, pod monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience developing REST APIs and integrating backend services.
- Knowledge of Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, SQL, and relational databases.
- Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience writing unit tests using JUnit and Mockito.
- Understanding of microservices communication, exception handling, and application logging. Preferred Skills
- Exposure to payments or financial services applications.
- Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging systems.
- Familiarity with Helm and cloud environments.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams.
