Job Description

Jira Align Admin

Pune/Noida/Bangalore/Chennai, India

As a Jira Align Specialist, you will support and promote our enterprise Agile transformation by configuring and managing Jira Align across APAC departments. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and portfolio teams to create visibility, agreement, and better decision-making through reliable data and well-designed workflows. This role reports to the Agile Transformation Lead and may be based in any major APAC office.

Your Responsibilities:

• Set up, configure, and maintain Jira Align (programs, portfolios, hierarchies, roadmaps, OKRs, etc.).

• Manage user roles, permissions, and custom fields in line with APAC compliance standards.

• Maintain and troubleshoot integrations between Jira Align and Jira, including mappings, workflows, and sync rules.

• Support Lean Portfolio Management activities such as PI Planning and value stream mapping for APAC teams.

• Partner with Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Product Managers, and Portfolio Managers to maximize Jira Align value.

• Build executive-level dashboards, reports, and visualizations tailored to APAC leadership.

• Monitor sync health and resolve integration or data issues, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.

• Support compliance, audits, and best practices for effective Jira Align usage.

• Lead onboarding and training for teams and leaders using Jira Align.

• Collaborate with Agile Coaches to ensure Jira Align aligns with SAFe or other scaling frameworks.

• Translate business needs into practical, scalable Jira Align solutions.

The Essentials – You Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• 3–6+ years of experience with Jira Align or similar enterprise agile tools.

• Strong understanding of SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and Agile portfolio management.

• Hands-on experience integrating Jira Align with Jira (Cloud or Data Center).

• Configure complex hierarchies and create cross-portfolio reporting.

• 1+ years of experience supporting PI Planning and large-scale events.

The Preferred – You Might Also Have:

• Jira Align Solution Architect or Admin certification.

• Jira Administrator (ACP-610 / ACP-620) certification.

• Experience supporting large agile or digital transformation initiatives in APAC.

• Knowledge of OKRs, Lean Portfolio Management, and strategic planning.

• Background in consulting, PMO, or enterprise agile coaching.
