Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Cloud Operations Engineer with expertise in AWS Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, and related technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing level 2 cloud operation support, including business impact assessments, initial troubleshooting, data manipulation, application tool support, and coordination with development teams for software and bug fixes. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud environments and supporting our asset management applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Operations Support:
- Provide level 2 support for cloud operations, focusing on AWS Cloud environments.
- Perform business impact assessments through customer interactions.
- Conduct initial troubleshooting and analysis of issues affecting cloud operations.
- Remediate issues through data manipulation or application tools.
- Coordinate with development teams to manage and resolve software bugs and fixes.
Technology Expertise:
- Utilize Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and management.
- Employ Python scripting for automation and troubleshooting tasks.
- Leverage Datadog for monitoring and logging.
- Manage build and deployment processes using Maven and Jenkins.
- Oversee deployment activities using uDeploy.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Interact with customers to assess and address business impacts.
- Work closely with development teams to coordinate fixes and improvements.
- Ensure effective communication and documentation of issues and resolutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Skills:
- Strong experience with AWS Cloud services and architecture.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes and Docker for containerization and orchestration.
- Experience with Python for scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with Datadog for monitoring and observability.
- Knowledge of Maven, Jenkins, and uDeploy for build and deployment processes.
- Ability to perform business impact assessments and troubleshoot cloud-related issues.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and development teams.
