Job Description and Responsibilities

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Launch Manager to lead strategic product launches across our Generics and Consumer Health portfolio.

You will take full ownership of the launch lifecycle, from planning to execution to closure, ensuring that launches are delivered on time, aligned with business decisions, and optimized for value. 

 

As the leader of cross-functional and multicultural launch teams, you will drive collaboration, challenge assumptions across stakeholders.

 

You will navigate complex tasks with your launch teams, proactively seeking out data, and driving solutions without relying on step-by-step instructions.

 

  • Leading cross-functional launch teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration across all functions.

  • Leading scenario planning and development of contingency plans to proactively address potential risks, delays, or shifts in market conditions, ensuring the team is prepared to adapt and respond effectively. 

  • Identifying the optimal momentum to launch. Creating ambitious and realistic timelines and overseeing the entire launch process. 

  • Ensuring achievement of business objectives, evaluating the business case/ profitability throughout the launch. Preparing a recommendation for decision making, if there are signs that the objectives may not be met, including coordinating a no launch decision when necessary. 

  • Ensuring that launch status and launch related information are up to date in internal systems. Maintaining active oversight of all launch-related information, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.

  • Acting as the primary communicator of the launch view, proactively addressing and resolving critical issues.

  • Preparing and presenting proposals for launch-related business decisions to senior management.

  • Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of launch progress and escalating issues as per internal guidance and requests.

 

Primary Skills (essential)

  • 10 + years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with experience in the Generics sector and with at least 8 years in launch management or project management.

  • Good understanding of European regulatory processes and solid experience in collaborating with finished-product suppliers (manufacturing partners).

  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams across diverse cultural and organizational contexts. 

  • Ability to understand the big picture and long-term while balancing with details and short-term priorities.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, challenge, and align stakeholders toward shared goals. 

  • Excellent networking and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple, simultaneous launch cases/ projects with efficiency and strategic oversight. 

  • A proactive mindset, a strong sense of ownership, and a willingness to continuously learn and adapt. 

  • The capability to thrive in complex, cross-functional, and international environments, navigating ambiguity with confidence and clarity.

  • Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to foster a constructive, solution-oriented team environment.
