The Lead Analyst will define and implement data engineering strategies, manage data architecture, mentor a team, and ensure data governance compliance.
Job Description:
Key responsibilities:
- Define and execute data engineering strategy aligned with business objectives and technical roadmap in collaborate with senior leadership, data strategy consultants, and stakeholders to solve complex customer data problems
- Design and oversee enterprise-level data architecture decisions for cloud infrastructure and data platforms following technical standards, best practices, and governance frameworks
- Provide technical leadership for complex data infrastructure projects on Snowflake, Google Cloud Platform and MS Azure and oversee the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines using Talend, Fivetran, and modern ELT tech stack
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5-8 data engineers across different experience levels, Foster a collaborative team culture focused on innovation, quality, and continuous learning
- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field with at least 9 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect or related roles
- Experience working on Snowflake or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or MS Azure especially services like BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Cloud Functions and Pub/Sub
- Proficiency in Talend or similar tool for complex ETL workflows, Fivetran or similar for automated data pipeline build with understanding of modern ELT patterns and real-time data streaming concepts
- Advanced SQL skills including complex queries, stored procedures, etc.; Python with experience in data manipulation libraries and PySpark for large-scale data processing
- Understanding of REST API, building and consuming APIs for data ingestion and knowledge of API authentication methods
- Hands-on experience with Databricks for collaborative analytics or Notebooks of similar interactive development environments like MS Fabric
