The Lead Application Support Engineer will provide critical support for Trading and Treasury applications. Responsibilities include managing ITIL processes, performing technical analysis for application changes, monitoring application health, and facilitating communication between stakeholders. The role requires strong SQL skills and experience in application support within the banking environment.
We are hiring Lead Application Support Engineer for one of our projects. The individual is expected to work from Mumbai Office for all weekdays. As a Lead Engineer, you'll play a vital role in our dynamic team, contributing to exciting projects that redefine urban living, establish new media channels for enterprise companies, or drive innovation in Banking.
Responsibilities:
- Support critical Trading and Treasury applications of the bank.
- Perform end to end technical support of various banking applications.
- Handle & manage ITIL process like Change, Incident, Problem management etc.
- Managing new requirements /changes to applications, performing technical analysis of changes/enhancements, performing UAT/SIT, Production deployment etc.
- Identify issues, with help of users, application vendors wherever required for any defect/errors and act as the first point of support of all issues being encountered during UAT and Production.
- Tracking, finding out the root cause and working on permanent closure of issues.
- Prepare knowledge base articles for incidents.
- Track, plan and support implementation of Infra Upgrades and Security vulnerabilities/patches for Windows, Linux, AIX, Database etc.
- Support applications on SIT/UAT environment. test patches (ensure adequacy, sufficiency and accuracy of the patch) prior to production deployment .
- Monitor ETL, Jobs, Health-checkup runs on daily basis and resolution in event of any failures.
- Manage regular housekeeping activities for applications and ensure high uptime of applications.
- Co-ordinate with application echo partners/vendors/regulator & bank’s internal units in issue resolution in the production and UAT environment .
- Publish regular MIS updates to all stakeholders as and when required.
- Provide technical support to the project team as and when required for various projects.
- Closure of incident and change tickets on time.
- 5+ years of experience in L2- Application Support Engineer role Banking domain.
- Should have worked in either of Trading, Treasury or Custody applications.
- Good knowledge of ITIL - Incident, Change and Problem management
- Must have worked at L2 support.
- Strong knowledge of writing and debugging SQL Queries.
- Should have led a team of 2-3 Engineers
- Technical skill- Oracle/SQL/MariaDB database, AIX/Unix , MQ, Windows servers, Web server.
- Good communication skills and ability to clearly communicate with stakeholders in India and the Region
- Ability to analyze new requirements and issues in applications and manage the implementation of enhancements and fixes from analysis to implementation and provide post-production support.
