Lead DevOps Engineer responsible for building AWS development, testing, and production environments; creating CI/CD pipelines; managing infrastructure as code, secrets, IAM, networking, API gateways, observability, monitoring, and alerting. The role also develops runbooks, rollback plans, deployment documentation, and operational handover materials while supporting production releases under enterprise change-control and cloud-governance processes.

About the role:
As a Lead DevOps Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.
Responsibilities:
- Set up dev, test and prod environments in the client’s AWS accounts, working with cloud governance on network paths and standards
- Build CI/CD pipelines for the gateway, adapters and supporting services
- Configure secrets management, service accounts and credential rotation
- Implement logging, tracing and observability baselines with correlation IDs
- Deploy the API gateway (AWS API Gateway or Kong) using vendor-neutral policies
- Produce the deployment view, environment and connectivity matrix, and credentials request
- Build monitoring, alerting, runbooks, rollback plans and the operational handover pack
- Support production releases through change control and hypercare
Requirements:
- 4+ years in DevOps or platform engineering on AWS
- Infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or similar)
- Experience with AWS API Gateway or Kong, Lambda or containers (ECS/EKS), and VPC networking
- Secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager or Vault) and IAM best practice
- Observability tooling such as CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry or Datadog
- Experience writing runbooks and handing over to client operations teams
- Comfortable working within enterprise change control and cloud governance
- Nice to have: AWS certification, or experience supporting conversational AI or contact centre platforms
