Lead Product Owner – Software Delivery
About the Role:
Q2 is seeking a Lead Product Owner to drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our Software Delivery solutions, ensuring seamless integration and adoption across our banking and credit union customers. This role requires a deep understanding of DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and orchestration platforms.
As a key player within the Hosting Organization, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product, engineering, support, and implementation—to define product requirements and ensure high-quality releases. Your expertise in DevOps technologies and best practices will shape the future of our platform’s automation, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the roadmap for Software Delivery solutions, ensuring high adoption, business value, and developer experience.
- Identify opportunities to extend and connect our capabilities to improve productivity and the experience for our internal and external customers.
- Lead cross-functional projects from scoping to implementation.
- Communicate status of key initiatives, execution to plans, and help needed.
- Act as the primary liaison between engineering, sales, and other business units.
- Define product specifications and oversee development cycles to ensure quality deliverables.
- Own and manage the product backlog, refining requirements and prioritising
- features.
- Integrate best practices for security, availability, and performance within DevOps products.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of overall experience, with at least 5-8 years in a DevOps Product Owner role.
- Strong expertise in DevOps tools and platforms, including GitLab, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Docker, Kubernetes, and Nomad.
- 3-5 years of experience in product management, preferably in financial services or banking.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-centric mindset.
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and deliver high-impact solutions.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision.
This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
