Job responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust backend services using Java, with a focus on scalability and performance.
- Demonstrate proficiency in AWS and designing scalable microservices-based solutions.
- Design and implement user-facing features using React.js.
- Build reusable components and libraries for future use.
- Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and user experience.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in both backend and front-end development.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Strong proficiency in Java and experience with backend frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).
- Experience in AWS environments
- Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles. Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Redux or Flux).
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
- A knack for benchmarking and optimization. Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git.
- Strong understanding of UX principles and ability to create intuitive user interfaces.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, product owners, designers, and platform teams.
