Lead Software Engineer

About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer.
In this role, you will:

• Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
• Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
• Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
• Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
• Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
• 3+ years working with GCP and a proven track record of building complex infrastructure programmatically with IaC tools.
• Must have 2+ years of hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tool Terraform and GitHub.
• Must have professional cloud certification on GCP.
• Thorough understanding of cloud computing concepts like landing zone, Storage and Database.
• Should have good understanding on Control Plane, Azure Arc and Google Anthos.
• Sound knowledge on the following areas with an expertise on one of them - Proficient on container-based solution services, have handled at least 2-3 large scale Kubernetes based Infrastructure build out, provisioning of services GCP.
• Proficient on Cloud Compute and Middleware services like event hub, CloudRun, pub/sub, serverless concepts and VMWare Engine.
• Should have good understanding of networking, firewalls, load balancing concepts (IP, DNS, Guardrails,VPC,VPC-SC,PSC,Istio) and exposure to cloud security, AD, authentication methods, RBAC.
• Proficient and have a thorough understanding of Cloud service offerings on Data, Analytics, AI/ML.
• Proficient and have a thorough understanding of Cloud service offerings on Security, Data Protection and Security policy implementations, Org policies and gatekeeper policies.

Desired Qualifications:

• Should have exposure to Cloud governance and logging/monitoring tools.
• Experience with Agile, CI/CD, DevOps concepts and SRE principles.
• Experience in scripting (Shell, Python)
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and business audiences
• Ability to deliver & engage with partners effectively in a multi-cultural environment by demonstrating co-ownership & accountability in a matrix structure.
• Delivery focus and willingness to work in a fast-paced, enterprise environment
