As a Manager of Brand Strategy on the US Marketing team at Compassion, you will oversee a team of creatives dedicated to defining core brand pillars, establishing a unique brand voice and crafting compelling brand stories that will serve as the foundation for all brand expressions. As a seasoned practitioner and category leader, you will own and innovate our core brand distinctives, delivering meaningful solutions that integrate core narratives to strengthen the Compassion brand in the minds of our audience.
What will you do?
Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
Act as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understand Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commit to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abide by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.
Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors
Utilize your creative background to ideate, develop, and direct a team of creative professionals to design on-brand content across various formats.
Work closely with marketing, fundraising, influencer, digital and other relevant channels to ensure alignment and consistent brand execution across all visual, written, and experiential touchpoints.
Champion brand-building initiatives across all digital platforms ensuring a cohesive and impactful online presence that reflects the established brand identity.
Collaborate with experiential marketing teams to conceptualize and execute impactful live events, ensuring they authentically reflect the "lighthouse brand" and create memorable customer experiences.
Work with internal communications to ensuring consistency in tone and messaging and visual brand standards.
Monitor and analyze brand perception, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities to strengthen the "lighthouse brand" strategy across all branding elements.
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the "lighthouse brand" strategy and provide regular performance reports.
Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to support the development and execution of brand initiatives.
Provide leadership and development for assigned staff.
What do you bring?
Excellent portfolio demonstrating skills in branding, storytelling, concept development, experiential design and execution.
Bachelor’s degree in communication, design, marketing or equivalent work experience.
Over 7 years of creative experience.
Proven ability to strategically lead and develop complex creative projects to achieve goals.
Formal or informal experience leading creative teams, focusing on direction, professional growth and coaching.
Strong advocate for team and category success.
Skilled in nurturing relationships across teams and meeting diverse requirements.
Detail-oriented with expertise in managing complex strategies and large-scale projects to completion.
Familiarity with measuring success in channels.
