PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $128,100.00-$156,300.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $99,700.00 - $184,700.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:
As the Manager of Cyclical Talent Strategies and Performance, you will drive and enhance BECU’s talent activation programs, ensuring employees and leaders have the tools and insights needed to excel. You will spearhead performance management processes, succession planning, and internal mobility strategies, enabling a high-performance culture where every employee has the opportunity to grow. Your leadership will shape BECU’s approach to talent data, optimizing how leaders understand and develop their teams.
To join our dynamic team in this role, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, SC or GA. If you’re located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance to our Tukwila Headquarters (TFC), we encourage you come into the office on Tuesdays & Wednesdays each week. For those who live outside the commutable distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be primarily remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Lead & Develop Your Team: Guide, mentor, and coach your team to foster a culture of continuous learning, engagement, and performance excellence. Conduct timely performance evaluations, using BECU competencies as performance measures.

Enhance Performance Management: Manage and optimize BECU’s performance management process to align with organizational goals, ensuring it supports a high-performance culture.

Streamline Feedback & Goal-Setting: Oversee performance reviews and feedback cycles, ensuring consistency and clarity. Provide guidance on setting SMART goals, delivering constructive feedback, and identifying growth opportunities.

Strategize Talent Reviews: Set direction for talent review processes, working with leadership to assess employee performance, potential, and readiness for advancement.

Drive Succession Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to create succession plans, identify key talent pools, and strategize leadership development initiatives.

Engage in Retention Strategies: Partner with business leaders and People Business Partners to develop solutions that enhance retention and succession planning for critical roles.

Facilitate Talent Awareness & Education: Generate enterprise-wide education on cyclical and episodic talent activities, equipping leaders and employees to actively participate.

Utilize Talent Analytics & Insights: Work with People Team partners to leverage analytics, enhancing continuous process improvements in talent activities across BECU.

Align Talent Strategy: Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Talent Development to build long-term strategies, identifying gaps and crafting solutions for future talent needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field.

Typically requires a minimum 7 years of HR experience in Talent Management, Learning & Development, and/or Project Management.

Typically requires 1 year of people leadership experience.
Desired Qualifications:

Advanced degree.

Demonstrated proficiency in change management, employee communication and project management.

Change Management certification.

Ability to design training material and facilitate learning sessions to meet desired performance outcomes.

Excellent business and creative writing skills, with a high degree of accuracy in proofreading.

Experience in maintaining SharePoint sites and Teams channels.

Excellent communication skills, including experience communicating at the executive level.
