At Eli Lilly, we are looking for a dynamic HSE Manager who will oversee all aspects of health, safety and environmental management system at the Sesto Site in accordance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards. This role will ensure compliance with applicable laws, global procedures and policies, support the deployment of HS roadmaps aimed at reducing the high risks (LIFE precursor) and foster Site safety culture. The HSE Manager will report directly to the HSE Director—RSPP and will coordinate a team of three resources, including two professional profiles and a technician.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the health and safety aspects of the Sesto Site.
- Contribute on the environmental aspect oversight
- Coordinate the updating and maintenance of health and safety risk assessments.
- Prepare for and manage external audits to ensure compliance with HSE standards.
- Maintain the HSE management system in line with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Strengthening the safety culture of the Site
- Implement the LIFE prevention roadmap
- Coordinate emergency response procedures and ensure readiness for potential incidents.
- Support the investigation and analysis of health and safety incidents and events.
- Lead and coordinate a team of HSE professionals.
- Present and attend to HSE Leadership Team.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Science (ie. chemist, biologist etc..).
- Previous experience in similar HSE roles in a manufacturing context.
- RSPP Certification.
- Deep expertise in management of high risks aspects (ie. LOTO, confined space, electrical safety, work from height, contractor safety etc..).
- Strong knowledge of HSE management systems standards.
- Strong knowledge of safety culture tools like BBS, Felt Leadership, etc.
- Previous supervisory/ leadership experience is required.
- Proficiency in English at a B2 level or higher.
- Ability to instill teamwork within the department and demonstrate key interpersonal skills.
