Position Summary:
The Design engineer will be responsible for producing general assembly drawings/models, manufacturing drawings, and associated engineering documentation. With this position you will become a part of the global Design & Development team, which is responsible for the development of Mechanical Constructions for our Pharmaceutical and Bakery machines.
Work You’ll Do:
- Perform tolerance analysis on designs; identify appropriate basic tolerances and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to satisfy the design requirement and manufacturing.
- Execute the design of new products to support the project plan, basically designing and drawing of components and assemblies.
- Participate regularly in process improvement within areas of responsibility; continually develop better ways of designing.
- Design, calculation and Contruction of assemblies and individual parts with a focus on standardization.
- Support the implementation of engineering change orders (ECO) using the SolidWorks 2022.
- Finding solutions, if necessary also on site at the customer's premises.
- Notify Supervisor when assigned work will not meet time lines.
- Provide guidance and/or training to other Designers when required.
- Produce and check the 3D assembly and 2D drawings according to Diosna Standards.
- To take the ownership of the projects till the delivery for the assigned product company.
- Support procurement/purchase team when there is any technology change or necessity.
- Active further development of our existing products.
Education and Experience
Qualification:
The incumbent of this role must have a post-secondary education in a Mechanical Engineering; Three (3) to four (4) years’ of experience as a designer in mechanical area and or equivalent Experienced in the machine design/special purpose machines/preferably from equipment manufacturing company.
Experience
- 3 to 4 years of working experience in mechanical design background.
- Able to work with 2D / 3D in Solidworks 2022.
- Proficient in Calculating design parameters, skilled in applying industry generic or specific codes and standards.
- Experience in manufacturing process including weldments/sheet metals/manufacturing components.
- Good knowledge in Engineering design, Design for Manufacturing and proficient in structures/vessels/OEM equipments.
- Experience or interest in the field of PID flow diagrams, pneumatic systems and Eplan fluid is advantageous.
