Job Description
Join one of the Fortune 500 leaders in the pharmaceutical industry that is looking innovate and expand our technological capabilities. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Metadata Management Specialist to help with managing and migrating metadata across systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in metadata management, data cataloging, and governance, particularly within the Collibra data catalog platform. This role will involve working closely with the business function teams to validate and ensure the integrity of migrated data.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and ingest metadata from respective systems into the Collibra data catalog.
- Migrate technical metadata enrichment, lineage, and mappings from one system to another within Collibra.
- Build reusable test cases to validate the migration of metadata, lineage, enrichment, and mappings for various use cases.
- Validate the migration results, including cataloging, lineage, and enrichment, and share the outcomes with the business function team.
- Propose automation solutions to improve migration efficiency.
- Support the business function team in validating migrated metadata and ensuring accuracy and integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Solid experience in metadata management, data cataloging, and data governance.
- Proficiency in metadata modeling and metadata management tools such as Collibra
- Strong knowledge of data management principles and best practices.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, accountability, written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to communicate across various stakeholders, including internal and external
- Good negotiation skills, experience with AGILE and DevOps methodology, capability to think strategically
