What We'll Bring:

The Consultant role requires a candidate to have strong technical knowledge, teamwork and communication skills in order to work with internal and external customers to support various technical projects and initiatives independently within the model development team. Attention to detail is a must as our projects must be delivered with high quality. The ability to multi-task and manage multiple deliverables on time is also a key component for success in this role. The role will also interface with multiple internal teams and work as a project lead in a cross-functional team. A strong candidate will be able to demonstrate projects they have led that from a cross-functional team perspective.

What You'll Bring:

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science (or a related field) and 3+ years of working experience in programming development
• Extensive working experience and advanced knowledge in following programming languages: C/C++, C#.  Has 5+ years’ experience with C/C++, preferably dot net (C#) technologies, ASP, java script, html, SQL

• Working Experience in Python, R, Java, Unix command/shell script
• Understanding of DevOps and continuous delivery pipelines.  Has 2+ years’ experience supporting an application utilizing Azure pipelines.
• Working experience with Microsoft SQL Server and other relational database management systems.  Had 4 years of experience independently supporting an application thru upgrades, maintenance, and issue resolution.
• Has experience as a technical writer creating content to provide instructions or explain technical concepts regarding computer applications.  Has working experience build training materials and operational processing guides to support Model Governance requirements.
• Advanced testing skills that extend beyond a singular program.  Includes UI testing, API testing and integration testing.  Can articulate and demonstrate advanced techniques to junior associates.
• Experience with DevOps and Agile methods to facilitate more efficient software development.
• Can serve as a technical mentor - building culture, coaching success behaviors, and talking code.  Has 5+ years of experience leading junior associates.
• Deep understanding of how models interact with current online and batch fulfillment system across. Includes understanding operational and technical processes that support model use.
• Deep institutional knowledge of TransUnion fulfillment systems and can independently lead a team of cross-functional associates on a large-scale project.
• Can provide examples of being a self-starter and has a continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent understanding of business requirements and how to translate them into functional production ready programs.  Ability to recognize potential issues and creates contingency plans and/or works across the matrix for resolution

• Unit testing experience.  A strong candidate has working experience being the lead developer supporting an internal application with a solid track record for defect free deploys.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
