Lead DNS Network Engineer responsible for DNS engineering projects, IPAM management, DNS and DHCP troubleshooting, domain stability, incident and change management, automation, and issue ownership. The role requires expertise with Infoblox, BlueCat, Nokia QIP, F5 devices, BIND, Unix/Linux, Python, Ansible, routing, switching, and firewall concepts. The engineer will coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, audit teams, and global customers while escalating crisis situations and providing management updates.

As Lead Network Engineer in EI GNS team must be part of various DNS Projects and also maintain Stability of the Organization. In this role, the lead works in collaboration with team to:
- Be part of DNS Engineering Team and able to manage specific projects in DNS Space.
- Work with Different Teams in GNS Space and maintain Stability of DNS Domain, also Escalate to management on Crisis Situation
- Automation Skills will help to Automate work intake of DNS Engineering Tasks
- Ownership of all Projects/Issues on DNS Domain
- Aware of Change/Incident/Problem Management process
The Skills that are Key to this role-
Technical / Behavioral
- Require good understanding of TCP/IP, IP subnet
- Should have working experience in handling change and incidents.
- Knowledge of basic Unix commands is a must.
- Experience in Infoblox/Bluecat/ Nokia QIP
- Experience in Managing IPAM.
- Troubleshooting Skills on DNS and DCHP..
- F5 Devices (LTM/GTM/Viprion), Bind, DNS and DHCP knowledge
- Lucent QIP/UNIX Administration
- Unix/Linux scripting knowledge.
- Knowledge in Domain Management in Coordination with External Vendors
- Knowledge on Python/Ansible.
- Should be familiar with the firewall concepts. (optional)
- Hands on experience on firewall Technologies (Checkpoint,Juniper) would be added advantage (optional)
- Understanding of Routing and Switching
- Experience handling global customers an added advantage .
- Experience on Working with Audit Team specific to DNS Tasks
