Position Summary:
We are looking for a Network Security Engineer with approximately 3 years of experience to support firewall-related operations, with a strong emphasis on understanding and working with firewall policies and configurations. The role involves analyzing and translating firewall details into our internal application, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with security standards. The candidate will also contribute to firewall policy reviews and configurations as needed.
This role requires hands-on experience in working with firewalls, combined with strong Excel skills to manage and organize large volumes of network security-related data.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Understand and support firewall policy management and configurations
- Maintain accuracy of firewall data and ensure it aligns with security requirements
- Collaborate with the team to ensure change management processes are followed
- Assist in reviewing and updating firewall configurations when required
- Document and maintain firewall configuration details and processes
Primary Skillset:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- ~3 years of hands-on experience working with firewalls (Checkpoint, Juniper, Fortinet preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel – ability to handle large datasets and perform validations
- Good understanding of firewall policies, rules, and configuration basics
- Familiarity with change management processes in network environments
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP and common network protocols
- Detail-oriented with good documentation and communication skills
