Configure and maintain hotel rate access codes and chain data in GDS and Navan. Load negotiated rates, perform QA, troubleshoot rate/display issues, manage JIRA cases, collaborate with partners and product/engineering, and support broader hotel operations.
About the role:
Navan is rapidly growing, expanding its platform across multiple points of sale and GDS systems. As a Travel Operations Analyst - Hotel rate loading you will play a critical role in configuring and maintaining accurate rate access codes, managing hotel chain data, and ensuring smooth operations for our global hotel and lodging solutions. You’ll work closely with Client Success, Operational teams, GDS partners, and hotel suppliers and will ensure our customers rates are accurately filed and bookings reflect negotiated discounts..
What you'll do:
- Hotel Rate Loading and Contract Management:
- Ensure all negotiated hotel rates and requirements are accurately and promptly loaded into the GDS systems and Navan platform
- Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure rate accuracy in GDS and Navan tools.
- Manage and resolve service requests and bug cases raised in JIRA, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Create and maintain customer rate access codes in Sabre, Amadeus, Salesforce, and internal tools.
- Manage hotel chain customer tables in Sabre and Amadeus, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Issue Resolution and Troubleshooting:
- Collaborate with hotel partners to troubleshoot errors in rate loading that cannot be resolved by the WNS team.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams on inquiries related to customer-negotiated fares, contract rates, and rate issues.
- Collaborate with the Product and engineering teams to identify and resolve rate display or pricing discrepancies and prioritise known issues/bugs.
- Quality Assurance:
- Escalate any deviations or process concerns to the manager for resolution.
- Operational Support:
- Support other areas of Hotel operations beyond corporate rate loading as required.
What we're looking for:
- Technical Expertise:
- 2+ years of hands-on GDS experience in Sabre and Amadeus, with a strong understanding of rate access codes and hotel chain configurations.
- Experience working with both ARC and BSP points of sale.
- Industry Knowledge:
- Familiarity with hotel brands, families, and rate management practices.
- Problem-Solving and Attention to Detail:
- Exceptional attention to detail with a creative and methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Collaboration and Communication Skills:
- Clear and concise oral and written communication skills for effective cross-team and partner collaboration.
- A strong team player with a proactive and supportive approach to knowledge sharing.
- Organizational Skills:
- Strong organizational abilities, with the capacity to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
