Aladdin or any other Order Management System
Customer support for Aladdin
- Understand and be knowledgeable of Aladdin both for public and private assets
- Become a SME to support Aladdin users globally. This includes on-going training in Aladdin Academy, webinars, product releases
- Understand the user permissions structure and maintain/create controls to ensure adherence to segregation of duties and audit reviews. Create and terminate users in line with ServiceNow requests
- Portfolio on-boarding/setup: create and terminate portfolios in Aladdin in a timely manner. This includes portfolio groups maintenance in line with business requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues in a timely manner to ensure that time-to-market is not negatively impacted
Active engagement with stakeholders
- Ensure issues, errors and requests are logged and tracked to resolution with Blackrock. Escalate issues when necessary and provide BRS with feedback on quality and timeliness of responses
- Work collegially with Blackrock to deliver suitable solutions for our business
- Liaise with the different trading platforms to resolve issues, including user permissions, FIX connection issues
PowerBi reports
- Maintain existing reports
- Create new reports based on control gaps analysis
Procedures
- Maintain and further develop procedures and tip sheet
- Ensure the team is aware of any new procedure
Stakeholders
- Build strong, positive working relationships with business colleagues including Blackrock account managers in US, UK and HK.
- Build strong, positive working relationships with the team and across GPD and other internal teams
- Share technical knowledge with Barings colleagues, in particular linked to new functionalities or enhancements

Knowledge, skills and abilities required
- Understand financial assets: Equity, Fixed income, Derivatives, private assets
- Understand and be knowledgeable of the trade lifecycle, including back-end, data feeds etc.
- Strong organizational, analytical and troubleshooting skills (problem solver mindset)
- Strong communication skills (internal and external stakeholders)
- Detail-oriented and highly motivated
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision during HK hours
- Ability to adapt/embrace change: proactive, flexible and able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
- Project Management skills
- Advance Excel skills (formula, pivot table)
- Previous experience with Aladdin or other OMS
- Knowledge of PowerBi and Power Automate will be a plus
- Coding language: VBA, SQL will be a plus
Education and experience required
- MBA or Bc in finance
- 3/5 years experience in asset management
