What IT Quality Control contributes to Cardinal Health
Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Quality Control analyzes and inspects Information Technology products and processes for compliance to internal and external specifications and standards. This job family collaborates with IT Project Management, Business Integration, and Application Development & Maintenance teams, among others, during implementation and integration projects to proactively identify compliance requirements and risks. Quality Control also conducts regular audits and develops and communicates new quality control procedures for the function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a software-related discipline.
- 5+ years as a software automation tester.

- Work reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy
Key Responsibilities
- Experience of working through STLC
- Experience in writing and executing SQL queries
- Test case design, analyzing Test Results, Defect Reporting & Tracking on regular basis.
- Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle applying best practices and Agile software development methodologies.
- Collaboratively work with various cross-functional teams across the globe with exceptional stakeholder management
Desired Experience and Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electronics or a software-related discipline.
- Candidate should possess 5+yrs of exp in Manual Testing and automation testing
- Excellent hands-on writing and executing SQL queries
- MongoDB (Preferred- or willingness to learn)
- SAP knowledge or exposure would be a big plus
- Xray Test Management for Jira experience would be a plus
- Kafka knowledge would be a plus
- Knowledge of functional, regression and ad-hoc testing
- Experience in writing clear and concise test cases, test plan and test strategy
- Experience on API manual testing, end to end testing
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance
- Proven work experience in agile software development
- Understanding the business requirements and speaking to the BA and product owner if there are any deviations
- Identifying the requirement gaps
- Write a detailed test case as per the business use case, paying attention to identifying the defect
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Critical thinking through testing
- A big focus on how to "break" the system
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate across teams.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, RestAssured) is a plus
- Executing the automation scripts and maintaining the same is a plus
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (Java, C#) is a plus
- Knowledge of the Maven, TestNG framework is a plus
- ISTQB certification is a plus
