Join our Regulatory Reporting team and play a key role in keeping payments reporting accurate, timely, and well-controlled. You will work with partners across trading, compliance, operations, and technology to deliver regulatory submissions and support audits. As an Analyst in Payments Regulatory Reporting Operations, you will prepare and submit regulatory reports to multiple regulators, including the Reserve Bank of India and the Financial Intelligence Unit. You will perform reconciliations, produce internal management reporting, and support internal, statutory, and concurrent audits. You will partner with cross-functional teams to maintain strong controls and drive process improvements. This role requires working knowledge of India regulatory reporting and related treasury reporting products.
Job responsibilities
- Prepare regulatory reports end-to-end, including reconciliations and timely submissions to regulators.
- Produce and distribute internal management information reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare risk-based supervision data points and perform variance analysis.
- Monitor nostro reconciliation breaks daily and circulate ageing reports on outstanding items.
- Partner with technology teams to automate reporting processes and strengthen controls.
- Prepare regional key performance indicator reports and assess the impact of new business initiatives on regulatory reporting.
- Support internal, statutory, and concurrent audits by providing accurate data and resolving audit queries on time.
- Coordinate with operations, trade support, finance, compliance, and legal teams to support control management and issue resolution.
- Maintain procedures and documentation by reviewing and updating standard operating procedures.
- Follow best practices to prevent control breaches and escalate issues when required.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in regulatory reporting, payments operations, treasury operations, or a related role within financial services.
- Working knowledge of India regulatory reporting and related reports such as cash transaction reporting, non-profit organization reporting, cross-border wire transfer reporting, R-Return reporting, and basic statistical return reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and propose practical solutions.
- Automation mindset with interest in improving efficiency and strengthening controls.
- Strong ownership and judgement, with the ability to escalate issues appropriately.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills across teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Flexibility and willingness to take on new assignments in a changing environment.
