Manager, EMEA and APAC Payroll - India (Bengaluru) / Portugal (Lisbon)

global workforce. We're looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations
across our EMEA and APAC regions. In this role, you'll oversee multi-country payrolls, manage
vendor relationships, ensure compliance with local regulations, and deliver a seamless payroll
experience for our employees. You'll also play a key part in scaling processes, driving
automation, and supporting our global growth.
What You'll Do
Lead Payroll Operations: Oversee end-to-end payroll processing across multiple EMEA
and APAC countries.
Vendor and Compliance Management: Partner with payroll vendors to ensure accuracy,
timeliness, and compliance. Review and approve payroll outputs, reconciliations, and
funding. Stay on top of legislative changes and ensure payroll compliance in each country.
Strategic & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead the Payroll transformation work for
APAC and EMEA countries. Collaborate with HR, Accounting, Equity, and Benefits teams
on cross-functional processes. Support new country launches, acquisitions, and system
implementations.
Team & Process Improvement: Manage employee payroll queries and act as a regional
point of escalation. Identify opportunities to streamline, standardize, and automate payroll
processes
What We're Looking For
8+ years of payroll experience, with strong exposure to both EMEA and APAC regions.
Proven experience managing multi-country payrolls and external vendors.
Solid understanding of regional payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across geographies and functions.
Experience with global HRIS and payroll platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP Celergo) is a
plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading payroll operations in a high-growth, multinational company.
Familiarity with SOX/internal controls, audits, and compliance frameworks.
Track record of implementing payroll process improvements and automation.
Ability to manage projects across multiple countries and time zones.
Professional payroll certifications (e.g., CIPP, CPP, GPA) or regional payroll
accreditation.
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
