The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement complex PL/SQL solutions for enterprise applications.
• Design and optimize stored procedures, triggers, packages, and functions.
• Lead database design efforts including schema modeling, normalization, and indexing strategies.
• Collaborate with application developers, data engineers, and business analysts to align database logic with business requirements.
• Conduct performance tuning, query optimization, and resource management for large-scale Oracle environments.
• Support application migration projects by refactoring legacy PL/SQL code and integrating with modern platforms.
• Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and documentation protocols.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues across development, testing, and production environments.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural reviews and code audits.
• Define Data migration strategy from legacy databases to cloud bases SAAS offerings

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development and architecture.
• Strong expertise in Oracle 12c/19c or later, including advanced PL/SQL features.
• Proven experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
• Familiarity with application migration strategies and modernization tools.
• Experience with ETL processes, data integration, and batch processing.
• Solid understanding of database security, backup/recovery, and high availability.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Good understanding of No SQL databases

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in Data migration.
• Experience with Oracle APEX, Oracle Forms, or Oracle E-Business Suite.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Oracle Cloud, Azure, AWS) and hybrid architectures.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
• Certifications in Oracle Database or related technologies.
