CFA Institute is looking for a Platform Owner, Azure/AWS Development to take ownership of our cloud platform architecture, delivery, and strategy. You’ll play a key role in managing delivery teams, defining standards, and enabling the full potential of Azure and AWS environments across our global organization.
What You’ll DoServe as the subject matter expert and steward of CFA Institute’s Azure and AWS development platforms.
Define and enforce architecture, design, and coding standards across all platform-hosted applications.
Lead agile platform delivery teams and provide oversight to technical leads.
Manage and prioritize technical debt, ensuring a high-quality development environment.
Oversee onboarding and guidance of internal and consultant development teams.
Track platform product roadmaps and proactively manage risks and opportunities.
Support business stakeholders by promoting platform capabilities and enabling their use.
Contribute cloud expertise to the creation of high-level technical solutions.
Coordinate proofs-of-concept for new tools and capabilities.
Manage automated deployments, environment configurations, and refreshes.
Set and measure team delivery goals, ensuring quality and performance.
Manage vendor relationships and evaluate supporting toolsets.
Provide expert troubleshooting during on-call escalations.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
8+ years in software architecture and development.
5+ years working with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
Strong experience with .NET, MVC, and JavaScript or React-based applications.
Proven leadership experience in technical team management.
Proficient in software lifecycle practices, CI/CD, Agile methodologies, and version control (Git).
Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly with complex system issues.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and consulting skills.
Global cultural fluency and ability to work across time zones.
Experience in service-oriented architecture, information modeling, and object-oriented programming.
Deep familiarity with test-driven development, quality assurance, and branch management.
Background in project management and schedule planning.
Outstanding judgment, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.

Expected salary range: $120,000 - $130,000 annual
Other benefits include eligibility for annual incentives, 12% pension employer contribution, and competitive medical benefits.
