About the role
The team at Laivly is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Principal Software Developer with deep experience in agentic AI systems to join our innovative team. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering cutting-edge AI-powered solutions, including LLM-driven browser-use agents, workflow orchestration pipelines, and tool-using AI systems. You will mentor and inspire a team of talented engineers while pushing the boundaries of what AI can do in real-world customer service environments. You bring expertise across multiple programming languages, including Node.js, .NET, Python, and hands-on experience in building AI agents that can plan, reason, and interact with tools, APIs and browser environments. You excel at solving complex challenges with creativity and minimal direction, demonstrating a passion for learning and pushing the boundaries of technology.

- Architect and Develop Solutions:
Design, implement, and optimize software solutions using modern frameworks and technologies, including .NET, Node.js, Python, and generative AI platforms - Innovative Problem Solving:
Tackle complex engineering challenges with creative approaches, leveraging your expertise and curiosity to deliver effective solutions independently - Mentorship and Leadership:
Guide and mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering their technical growth and contributing to a culture of collaboration and innovation - Stay Ahead of the Curve:
Continuously learn and integrate new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to keep our solutions at the forefront of the industry - Collaborate Across Teams:
Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into robust technical solutions - Code Quality and Best Practices:
Uphold high standards in code quality, testing, and documentation to ensure maintainability and scalability
As Principal Software Developer, you have…
- Minimum 7 years proven experience in software development with deep expertise in .NET, Node.js, and Python
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with generative AI tools, frameworks and applications
- Experience designing autonomous or semi-autonomous AI systems that interact with real-world environments.
- Understanding of AI safety, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Experience optimizing LLM inference pipelines or fine-tuning models for agentic tasks.
- Proficiency in a variety of programming paradigms and languages (e.g., Java, Go, or others is a plus)
- Ability to independently solve challenging problems with limited guidance
- Demonstrated capability to mentor other engineers, creating an inclusive and empowering team environment
- Strong understanding of system architecture, microservices, and cloud-based technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with modern development practices such as CI/CD, Agile, and DevOps principles
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a range of audiences
- 2 or more years in a fast paced start-up environment
- Experience in AI/ML applications, including natural language processing and deep learning
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js)
- Contributions to open-source projects or a portfolio showcasing innovative projects
