Business & Team:
Retail Technology (RT) is responsible for the world leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business. We also use technology to drive simplicity and better banking, an essential component of great customer service underpinning a strong emphasis on software development as a craft and the adoption of industry best engineering practices.
Retail Technology team is responsible for technology leadership and capability underpinning CommBank’s retail business.
The goal of Retail Technology Foundations is to ensure that RT is enabled by world-class people, process and technology.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Analyse systems and applications and provide recommendations for enhancement and development
- Contribute to the technical design of system enhancements
- Software development and quality control of software developed by geographically disperse team
- Work within in a team environment and provide assistance in the management and leadership of your team and complete associated tasks
- Follow release and change processes in the compilation and distribution of software builds and releases to development and test environments, as well as system updates into production
- Troubleshoot complex deployment and environment issues.
- Assist with preparation and documentation of deployment and configuration scripts for development, test and production environments
Technology Skills:
- 20+ years of relevant hands on work experience in software development.
- Experience in creating high level solution architecture flows.
- Experience in BIAN architecture preferred,Microservices Architecture
- Experience in developing technical solutions using: .NET Core-must, React JS, Typescript, Next.js, Node.js, Python,REST and API Development Experience
- Source control systems such as Github,Build & Deployment tools such as Github Actions
- Database such as Oracle, PostgresSQL , AWS Aurora or Extensive experience in Cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Awareness or Experience of Monitoring tools such as Observe, Prometheus, Grafana
- Awareness or Experience in DevOps or DevSecOps & Secure Coding Practices.
Education Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
