Job Description
1. Firmware Development: Collaborating with hardware engineers to integrate Firmware and hardware components. Design, develop, and maintain firmware solutions based on project requirements.
2. Testing and Debugging: Writing and executing software verification activities, including unit tests, integration tests, and debugging. They ensure compatibility with the device and resolve any faults.
3. Firmware Architecture: Refining firmware architecture into detailed designs and implementing them effectively.
4. Troubleshooting: Assisting in the development and execution of test setups and application programs to troubleshoot product issues reported by customers.
Requirements
1. Educational Background:
○ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
○ Master's degree in any of the above is a plus.
2. Technical Skills:
○ Programming Languages: Proficiency in C/C++ is essential. Proficiency in Python, bash, and batch is a plus.
○ Embedded Systems: Understanding of embedded systems architectures such as arm and experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
○ Version Control: Experience with GIT.
○ Project management: Working in an Agile environment , utilizing agile tools ( Jira) and project documentation tool (Confluence )
○ Hardware Knowledge: Understanding of hardware components and interfacing with them (SPI, I2C, etc.). Familiarity with industrial protocols such as EtherCAT, DeviceNet, and Modbus TCP are a plus.
3. Experience:
○ 10+ years’ experience working as FW/SW engineer with American companies.
4. Problem-Solving Skills:
○ Firmware engineers often encounter complex problems related to hardware-software interactions. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are crucial.
5. Communication Skills:
○ Collaborating remotely with hardware engineers, software developers, and other team members requires effective communication.
