The Product Designer II will lead design efforts for TV, web, and mobile, focusing on user-centric solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
JOB SUMMARY:
Seeking a product designer II to lead end-to-end design across TV, web and mobile. You’ll drive problem-solving, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver user-centric, high-impact solutions demonstrating strong ownership, clarity, and execution.
ABOUT THE TEAM:
Design is integral to shaping the user experience at JioHotstar. We have 4 key areas of focus - Product Design, UX Research, Design Standards and Creative Studio. We are a closely-knit team of 30+ people at the moment, who work across the spectrum of design from deriving insight from data, designing interfaces and prototypes, and testing with users to motion graphics and illustrations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and deliver design output for assigned features or parts of larger projects
- Create user interfaces in Figma with a focus on UX, interaction design, and visual design quality
- Collaborate with PMs to explore solutions for product challenges and user needs
- Contribute to and work within the design system to ensure visual and functional consistency.Present your work clearly in critiques and design reviews; iterate based on feedback
- Participate in developer handoffs and support smooth execution of the design vision
- Conduct build reviews to ensure high-quality implementation
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:
- Strong skills in Figma, including interaction design, component creation, and visual polish
- Solid understanding of layout, color, typography, and design systems
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including PMs and engineers
- Ability to take ownership of specific parts of a project and deliver with quality
- Strong communication skills and openness to feedback during critiques and reviews
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently or in a team
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- 2-4 years of experience in building user experiences
