The Team: 

You’ll become a part of the S&P Global Market Intelligence's Product Management team, responsible for Gen AI capabilities including conversational AI tools on the Capital IQ Pro platform.

 

The Impact:  

As a Product Manager, you will partner with other Product Owners/Managers to define and refine the product requirements and collaborate with stakeholders from other departments to drive initiatives forward. You will work closely with your technology counterparts and the UI/UX team to drive product and technical designs, identify technical and business dependencies, and move the product development process forward.

You’ll have the opportunity to discuss workflow needs with a wide variety of client voices and contribute to the overall product vision and roadmap for Gen AI. Individually, you’ll have an opportunity to build on your analytical, presentation, product management, problem-solving skills alongside rapidly learning about the Gen AI revolution. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with internal and external partners to bring Gen AI product concepts to launch 

  • Determine, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, and translate customer requirements into user stories that can be turned into features / products by the technology teams 

  • Define stories and prioritize the team backlog to streamline the execution of project priorities, while maintaining the vision and integrity of the product 

  • Create a release plan in partnership with stakeholders, engage with Scrum Team on delivery related activities, ensure stories are executed within the overall release plan, and provide clear visibility into work progress across leadership. 

  • Obtain feedback on the product to iterate and drive improvements in future releases 

  • Identify key opportunities for product improvements, develop short-term preventive or detective measures, and work with our teams to quantitatively evaluate the success and performance of new and existing features 

  • Keep up to speed of the competitive landscape, industry trends, and Gen AI concepts within the marketplace to drive product decisions

  • Act as a product owner for a scrum team, articulating business requirements and working with engineers to build and test product enhancements 

  • Review and evaluate enhancement requests from clients and utilize feedback to build out the product backlog 
     

What We’re Looking For: 
 

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA or BS in Finance or related field 

  • 2-4 years of product management experience

  • Strong conceptual understanding of Gen AI concepts (e.g. prompts, RAG, fine tuning, LLM, agentic & multi-agentic workflows)

  • Working familiarity with road-mapping and issue tracking software applications, and Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visual Studio, and SQL 

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic & ever-changing environment 

  • Comfortable using existing Gen AI tools (e.g. Co-Pilot, Gemini, ChatGPT etc.)

  • Motivated, self-starting, willing to take risks and challenge current conventions 

  • Ability to clearly articulate product requirements and their business value to technology stakeholders and development teams 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of direct experience developing Gen AI powered chat bot product or Gen AI solutions within financial services sector

  • Direct experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity or Corporate Finance
