Job Description:

Job Title- Product Manager - Lending, AVP

Location- Mumbai, India

Role Description

  • Responsible for managing entire product life cycle from strategy to execution of Term Lending products. Will work cross functionally to design product road-maps and discover newer opportunities for growth.
  • Key purpose of the role is to create best in class lending products via extensive market research.
  • The individual will work closely with the other stakeholders to create frictionless client journey.
  • Interact with all levels of management to identify, develop and implement initiatives to improve product profitability. 
  • Maintain and ensure due observance of Internal Control Standards and Group Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal / external auditors and external regulators
  • Devising profitable pricing strategies , process changes , marketing requirements, website updation, fulfilling documentary requirements from Regulatory and legal perspective whilst preparing for a new product launch
  • Regular periodic review of client on boarding process in terms of KYC compliance, financial and risk assessment.
  • Design and modify balanced scorecards for the sales team to drive required behaviour as per the Bank’s needs. Design and drive campaigns for the Sales team in order to help boost sales and revenues
  • Audit and Compliance – Impart regular ongoing training to the Sales team by conducting refresher courses to ensure regulatory compliance. Conduct audit of the files, operational processes, risk assessment processes to ensure the processes followed at ground level are in line with designed product norms.
  • Strategically responsible for customer experience - Innovate, Conceptualize and Implement Digitization of customer service framework, Product development and management
  • Management of ESG programs for PB India incl process, reporting and audits.
  • Facilitate regular performance review of the Lending team by the Senior Management on monthly basis.
  • Facilitate ongoing Pricing Forums for overseeing and monitoring pricing governance structure.

Your skills and experience

  • MBA with 7+ years of relevant work experience in banks/NBFC.
  • Expertise in Product development and Management aimed at optimising credit growth to the MSMEs in line with the Bank’s and regulatory guidelines.  Knowledge of the regulatory environment especially pertaining to MSME clients.
  • Deep understanding of lending ecosystems, industry trends, technology development and evolving customer needs
  • Knowledge of the loan booking & accounting systems, NPA management processes, etc.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills as the job requires coordinating with cross-functional teams like Operations, Credit, Technology, Legal and Sales, to continuously enable changes in product design, workflows, policies, etc.
  • Market research and analysis, competitor benchmarking, monitoring of trends and spotting opportunities in the market for product enhancement and new product launches
  • Extremely analytical and data driven; ability to derive actionable conclusions from large data sets.
  • Proactively communicate with stakeholders to keep them up to speed on planning, roadmap, execution status, launch, its impact, learnings, etc - A sharp focus on automating repeatable tasks and reducing operational overheads.
