The Product Manager will drive eCommerce analytics projects, collaborating across teams to innovate and enhance product offerings and user experiences.
Warehouse Management System (WMS) – Product Manager
Warehouse Management System (WMS) is one of Anchanto’s core products and plays a critical role in enabling efficient, scalable, and accurate warehouse operations for customers across industries and geographies. As warehousing operations become more complex, customers increasingly expect WMS platforms to go beyond core receiving, putaway, picking, packing, and dispatch capabilities. They now require deeper orchestration and interoperability with adjacent systems such as TMS, Labour Management, Robotics and AMR, Yard and Dock Management, WES, and WCS.
To support this evolution, Anchanto needs a WMS Product Manager who can define and drive the WMS product roadmap in line with business strategy, operational realities, and market demand. This role is essential to ensure our WMS remains operationally strong, technically scalable, and capable of supporting modern warehouse execution requirements, including automation, labor productivity, dock movement control, equipment orchestration, and end-to-end warehouse visibility.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Define the product roadmap for Anchanto’s WMS based on org and product strategy and vision.
- Identify capability gaps and prioritize features based on customer needs, business priorities, and operational pain points.
- Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term product scalability and configurability.
- Support roadmap decisions across warehouse execution areas such as receiving, putaway, replenishment, inventory control, picking, packing, dispatch, returns, and value-added services.
- Evaluate opportunities for ecosystem integrations and operational enhancements that strengthen the WMS value proposition.
Execution
- Write detailed PRDs, user stories, workflows, use cases, edge cases, and acceptance criteria for WMS capabilities.
- Define functional and non-functional requirements for features including performance, scale, usability, security, auditability, and configurability.
- Review requirements and outputs from team members to ensure completeness and implementation readiness.
- Work closely with Engineering and QA through design, development, testing, rollout, and release stabilization.
- Review API-related requirements and define business expectations for validations, status handling, event flows, exceptions, retry behaviour, and data mapping where relevant.
- Track dependencies, risks, and trade-offs to ensure smooth execution and delivery discipline.
- Review team work outputs and ensure consistency, completeness, and clarity in requirements.
- Allocate work effectively across roadmap, BAU, issue resolution, and strategic initiatives.
- Build ownership, accountability, and strong execution discipline within the team.
- Drive NFRs and integration compliance related activities.
Measurement & Success Metrics
- Define and monitor key success metrics for WMS capabilities such as throughput, inventory accuracy, picking efficiency, packing productivity, SLA adherence, user adoption, and issue trends.
- Track release outcomes, defect leakage, support escalations, and customer feedback.
- Use product and operational insights to identify improvement opportunities and guide prioritization.
- Ensure roadmap outcomes create measurable value for customers and internal teams. Use data and operational insights to identify gaps, prioritise fixes, and improve product performance.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Align senior leadership, engineering, operations, implementation, support, and commercial teams on roadmap priorities and delivery plans.
- Work with customers and partners to understand integration requirements, pain points, and business processes.
- Manage senior stakeholder communication with clarity, structure, and confidence.
- Drive decision-making across competing priorities, dependencies, and delivery trade-offs.
- Partner with internal product teams across OMS, Integration, and Parcel Tracking to ensure end-to-end integration consistency.
- Work with Sales, KAM, Implementation, Engineering, QA, Product Marketing and Marketing to ensure a successful adoption of integration being built and user.
- Engage with customers and warehouse stakeholders to understand pain points, business processes, and improvement opportunities.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Own or govern the creation of user guides, API documentation, technical specifications, release notes, FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and self-help materials.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, structured, reusable, and aligned with product releases.
- Conduct training sessions, demos, and knowledge-sharing forums for internal teams and customers where needed.
- Build a strong knowledge base for integration capabilities, use cases, workflows, and known limitations.
Internal Tooling
- Use and govern product management and collaboration tools such as Aha!, Jira, and Confluence.
- Ensure roadmap visibility, requirement traceability, sprint alignment, and documentation hygiene across tools.
- Maintain structured records of decisions, requirements, dependencies, risks, and release updates.
Customer UAT & Issue Resolution
- Support customer UAT planning and execution for strategic integration releases.
- Ensure requirements are testable and customer acceptance scenarios are clearly defined.
- Work with implementation, QA, and customer teams to address UAT feedback and close gaps before launch.
Required Skills & Experience — Shape
- 5–9 years of product management, business analysis, or domain product experience, with strong hands-on exposure to Warehouse Management Systems.
- Proven experience in building or managing WMS product capabilities in a SaaS or enterprise software environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations including inbound, outbound, inventory management, replenishment, picking, packing, dispatch, returns, and warehouse productivity workflows.
- Strong experience in writing PRDs, user stories, workflows, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements.
- Ability to work closely with engineering teams on APIs, business logic, integrations, configuration models, validations, and operational edge cases.
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders across Engineering, QA, Delivery, Support, Customer Success, and Sales.
- Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing experience.
- Strong analytical thinking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and crisply.
- Hands-on experience using Aha!, Jira, and Confluence or equivalent tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ Experience in eCommerce, logistics, supply chain, or B2B SaaS platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Technology, or a related field.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Prior experience in SaaS, supply chain technology, logistics technology, or warehouse operations products is preferred.
- Exposure to adjacent systems and advanced warehouse ecosystems such as:
- TMS
- Labour Management Systems
- Robotics / AMR
- Yard & Dock Management
- WES / WCS
- Exposure to warehouse automation, control systems, and enterprise integrations is good to have.
- Experience working with global customers, multi-warehouse environments, or large-scale implementations is an advantage.
- Prior warehousing domain experience through product, consulting, operations, or implementation roles will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to omni-channel commerce, order orchestration, warehouse operations, parcel tracking, and ecosystem integrations is preferred.
- Understanding of architecture, integration platforms, middleware concepts, webhooks, APIs, and enterprise integration design patterns is preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and microservices architecture.
- Certifications in Scrum/Agile methodologies is preferred.
- Advanced understanding of business process analysis.
- Expertise with APIs, XMLs and JSONs.
- Work with the latest and most in-demand technologies, concepts, and approaches, including DevOps, Microservices, IoT, and more.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a lean team and willing to take on responsibility.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
