Role summary
Greenway Identity Services (GIS) is a shared service that delivers secure, reliable identity and access capabilities across Greenway products—enabling consistent authentication, authorization, and integrations while improving platform resilience and operational efficiency.
As an Associate Product Manager / Product Manager, you will help drive the end-to-end product lifecycle for identity management services, from discovery and technical requirements through delivery and adoption. This role is technically strong: you’ll partner deeply with engineering, security, architecture, and SRE/DevOps to define scalable solutions, shape API and integration contracts, and ensure high-quality delivery in a security- and reliability-critical domain.
Key responsibilities
-
Support product discovery by gathering inputs from internal stakeholders (product teams, security/compliance, operations/support) and analyzing incidents, feedback, and usage patterns to identify high-impact improvements.
-
Contribute to product strategy, roadmap, and release planning for identity services such as SSO/MFA, authentication/authorization workflows, user/org lifecycle management, and platform integrations.
-
Translate business, user, and technical needs into crisp delivery artifacts: epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, non-functional requirements (availability, latency, auditability), and appropriate automation/AI guardrails (data handling, access boundaries).
-
Own technical requirements and integration design in partnership with engineering: define API contracts, event/workflow interactions, error handling, versioning, and backward compatibility expectations for dependent teams.
-
Collaborate with security and architecture to ensure secure-by-design outcomes: threat-aware requirements, least-privilege access, audit logging, and compliance-ready controls.
-
Partner with SRE/DevOps and engineering on operability: monitoring/alerting requirements, runbooks, incident learnings, and reducing operational toil through automation/self-service where appropriate.
-
Use practical AI-assisted product workflows (e.g., discovery synthesis, requirements refinement, release communication) with sound judgment around privacy, security, and compliance.
-
Track KPIs and operational indicators (adoption, auth success rates, latency, defects, incident trends) and drive continuous improvement actions, leveraging analytics and tooling to surface actionable insights.
-
Contribute to backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and release readiness—balancing feature delivery with risk reduction, reliability work, and platform upgrades.
-
Participate in internal demos, stakeholder reviews, defect triage, and post-release validation; ensure clear documentation and communication for downstream teams.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
-
4+ years total experience with 2+ years in product management (APM/PM); US healthcare industry experience is an add on.
-
Strong technical fluency: ability to work with engineers on system design discussions, tradeoffs, and end-to-end workflows across services.
-
Working knowledge of API-driven platforms, RESTful services, and distributed system integrations (auth flows, tokens, callbacks/webhooks, retries, idempotency).
-
Familiarity with identity and access management concepts and standards: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, authentication vs authorization, SSO/MFA patterns.
-
Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments with cross-functional delivery teams.
Preferred qualifications
-
Exposure to IAM products/platforms and enterprise identity ecosystems (e.g., IDPs, directories, federation, SCIM).
-
Cloud familiarity (AWS preferred) and platform fundamentals (security, monitoring, scalability, reliability).
-
Experience working on shared platforms/services with multiple dependent product teams.
-
Experience adopting AI-assisted tools in product delivery (documentation, analysis, experimentation) with strong judgment around security, privacy, and compliance.
-
Systems thinking and strong analytical/problem-solving skills; can translate ambiguity into executable plans.
-
Influential collaborator—aligns stakeholders and drives decisions without formal authority.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present technical topics clearly to mixed audiences.
-
High ownership, strong execution discipline, and attention to detail.
-
Product mindset that balances user/admin experience, security, reliability, and operational excellence.
-
Pragmatic AI advocate: identifies high-leverage use cases, sets guardrails, and drives adoption without disrupting teams.
