Job Overview:
Title: Project Manager
Experience: 8-10 years
Location: Pune
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and process-oriented Project Manager to join our Blue Altair team. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of total experience and 4-5 experience in managing Data Management and Data Engineering projects. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent project management capabilities, and a deep understanding of DM and DE practices.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, providing direction and support to ensure successful project outcomes. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Business Analysis: Understand the business functions and able to play dual role as a project manager and business analyst if required.
- Presales Support: Help sales team with presales activities like presentations and proposals.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders. Maintain effective communication and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues and obstacles to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet the highest quality standards of Blue Altair and adhere to best practices in DM and DE.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare effective and efficient project status reports and documentation for both internal and external stakeholders. Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying areas for process optimization and implementing industry best practices in project management.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Experience: Total of 8-10 years in consulting or services IT firm and 3+ years of experience in project management, specifically in Data Management (DM) and Data Engineering (DE) projects.
- Education: bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. PMP or similar project management certification is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of DM and DE concepts, methodologies, and technologies. Proficiency in project management software and tools, Agile methodologies.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage project teams, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Client-Focused: Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality service.
Nice to Have:
- Certification in project management, agile methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, CSM).
- Experience with data analytics and visualization tools.
- Familiarity with cloud-based technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
