The Event Operations Program Manager serves on a small center-of-excellence team supporting the Optum Growth Office. The role is responsible for the end to end project management of Optum's highest priority growth and executive events, partnering closely with Growth Office leadership and the Events Center of Excellence (ECOE) to translate strategic intent into disciplined execution.

The Event Operations Program Manager serves on a small center-of-excellence team supporting the Optum Growth Office. The role is responsible for the end to end project management of Optum's highest priority growth and executive events, partnering closely with Growth Office leadership and the Events Center of Excellence (ECOE) to translate strategic intent into disciplined execution.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end event delivery by creating and managing integrated project plans that define milestones, owners, dependencies and timelines across all enterprise workstreams
- Drive execution discipline by holding contributors accountable, proactively managing risks and issues, and ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery
- Manage all core event operational artifacts, including attendee nomination and RSVP tracking, external registration platforms, and internal planning and strategy materials
- Translate Growth leader input and market perspective into clear strategic direction, ensuring events are purpose-built and outcome-driven
- Ensure event structure, flow and thematic messaging align to growth priorities, client objectives and leadership intent
- Partner with Growth leaders to define attendee strategy, identifying and inviting the right clients, prospects and internal participants for marquee events
- Apply sales, market, pipeline and client data to inform attendee criteria, event scope, prioritization and strategic trade-offs - delivering concise, data-driven insights that enable informed leadership decision-making before, during and after events
- Lead adoption and continuous improvement of the GoPRO mobile app to enhance executive engagement and effectiveness during events
- Ensure event insights and outcomes are captured, operationalized and reflected in SFGO, client briefs, and post-event executive summaries
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in project or program management delivering complex, cross-functional work in a global or enterprise environment
- Experience supporting U.S-based leaders and working effectively across time zones
- Proficiency with core productivity tools (Microsoft Suite) and ability to manage trackers, documentation and operational artifacts at scale
- Proven skill in analytics and data insights
- Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting executive-level events or high stakes client engagements
- Exposure to mobile event tools and driving adoption through change management and user support
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM system
