Job Summary:
The Professional Services Operations Analyst plays a key role in ensuring operational excellence within OpenGov’s Professional Services organization, with a primary focus on resource management, data-driven decision-making, and delivery optimization.
This role supports the business by managing staffing and capacity planning processes, maintaining accurate data within Professional Services systems, and providing actionable insights that enhance project delivery efficiency. Working cross-functionally with project managers, program leaders, finance, and people operations, the Operations Analyst helps align the right resources to the right projects at the right time.
Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, analytically minded, and eager to drive process improvements that make a measurable impact on the team’s performance and customer outcomes.
Responsibilities:Support resource management and staffing operations across Professional Services by maintaining accurate capacity, availability, and project allocation data.
Partner with Project and Program Managers to forecast upcoming demand and identify potential resource constraints or staffing gaps.
Monitor and report on key metrics, including utilization, billable capacity, staffing efficiency, and delivery throughput.
Maintain data integrity and reporting accuracy within Professional Services Automation (PSA) tools and related systems.
Develop and distribute weekly and monthly dashboards summarizing team utilization, pipeline readiness, and resourcing trends.
Collaborate with Professional Services to align staffing and hiring plans with forecasted delivery needs.
Assist in process development and improvement, ensuring consistency and scalability in resource planning practices.
Support business reviews by preparing performance analyses, slide decks, and operational summaries for leadership.
Act as a trusted operational partner to delivery leaders, helping to translate data insights into practical recommendations.
Contribute to broader professional services operations initiatives, such as forecasting accuracy, delivery efficiency, and process automation.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Data Analytics, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in operations, business analysis, or project coordination (preferably within SaaS, consulting, or professional services).
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate data insights.
Resource forecasting and skills matching
Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas, visualizations) and familiarity with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred:
Experience supporting resource or capacity management processes within a professional services or consulting organization.
Familiarity with project management, resourcing and PSA tools (e.g., Salesforce, Rocketlane, Financialforce).
Understanding of SaaS delivery models, professional services operations, and utilization management.
Experience with forecasting, workforce planning, or delivery operations analytics.
Interest in pursuing project management or operations certifications (CAPM, PMP, Prince2 or similar).
