About the role
We are looking for a Python Developer to join our team and contribute to building and scaling our Catalog Services Project. This role involves designing and developing robust solutions for product cataloging, metadata enrichment, and evaluation workflows.
You will work closely with our Knowledge teams to implement solutions that improve catalog quality, enhance automation, and drive customer value.
The ideal candidate has solid Python development experience, a strong problem-solving mindset, and exposure to large language model (LLM) evaluations, prompt engineering, and related AI-driven workflows.
Location: Bangalore, India (In-Office, Hybrid setup)

Reports To: Director of Engineering
What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based services and pipelines for catalog insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Ops, Knowledge, Core Eng.) to integrate catalog solutions into existing systems.
- Build APIs, automation scripts, and tools to improve catalog scalability and reliability.
- Contribute to LLM evaluation pipelines and perform prompt engineering to optimize results.
- Write clean, modular, and testable code while ensuring performance and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and continuous improvement of systems.
- Document processes, tools, and workflows for maintainability and team adoption
Who you are:
- 2–4 years of professional experience in Python development.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience building scalable services, APIs, or automation pipelines.
- Familiarity with LLM evaluations and prompt engineering.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Good to have
- Experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) or data pipelines (Airflow).
- Exposure to evaluation frameworks for LLMs (e.g., BrainTrust, OpenAI evals, LangSmith).
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
- Background in cataloging, search, or recommendation systems.
