Job Description:
Python Software Developer (Software Engineer II/ Software Engineer III/ Lead Software Engineer)
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting, thinking beyond routine approaches to build solutions or resolve technical problems.
- Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
- Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to continuously improve software applications and systems.
- Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data, using insights to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events exploring new and emerging technologies.
- Foster a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and applied experience.
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in coding in one or more languages, preferably Python.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Understanding of Data Science libraries in Python.
- Experience with parallel computing.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
- Exposure to cloud technologies.
