This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned QA Engineer II to play a critical role in bringing our products to market. This manual QA Engineer role will interpret and translate product requirements into test cases and lead testing for multiple, complex B2B software products (web, desktop, and mobile), to ensure the highest level of quality control.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports for multiple software projects of varying sizes and technology platforms (web, mobile, and desktop).
- Liaise with product owners, developers, UX/UI designers, support analysts, technical writers, and product/engineering leadership.
- Conduct in-depth manual regression testing and test of new features and fixes every day.
- Document and inform the development team of defects with clear communication of quantitative and qualitative findings derived from test results.
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts, and monitor efforts to resolve product issues and provide updates.
- Ensure that the final product of every release satisfies the defined requirements and meets end-user expectations.
- Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
- Take initiative to identify areas to improve internal processes related to product release management and bug fixes.
- Demo new release functionality to our internal customer support team so they can become familiar with the new product features.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related science/technology-based discipline is highly preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in a manual software testing role with proficiency in performing regression, ticket, and performance testing required.
- Experience with Jira required.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems and/or eCommerce platforms required.
- Experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment required.
- Experience with payment gateways and Xray software preferred.
- Experience working or testing APIs (Rest or SOAP) preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including analytical, organizational, and issue resolution.
- Ability to organize, self-manage, follow-through, coordinate, and prioritize.
- Great problem-solving skills and a keen interest in new technology
- Diligent and meticulous with high regard for best practices
- Proficiency in creating test plans and defect tracking processes.
- Proficiency in conducting black box and white box testing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Onsite work required (once Pune, India office is set up in Q1 2026).
