Who you’ll be working with:
The IP Network Intelligence team in Pune is looking for a QA Engineer to join our world of IP protocols and deep packet inspection. You will work as part of a scrum development team alongside developers, architects, product owners, and QA engineers, while collaborating closely with additional IP scrum teams across Israel and Bulgaria.
As a key member of the team, you will help deliver high-quality solutions for analyzing and inspecting complex network traffic and communication protocols.
As a Cognyter you will:
- Take ownership of the quality of the team’s deliveries throughout the development lifecycle.
- Analyze product requirements, user stories, and technical designs to ensure testability and coverage.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test documentation for new features and enhancements.
- Test scrum team epics and features, ensuring they meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Execute manual end-to-end, integration, regression, and system-level testing across multiple components and systems.
- Analyze network traffic and application behavior using packet capture and analysis tools.
- Identify, investigate, document, and track software defects using Jira.
- Work closely with developers, architects, and product owners to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies including planning, refinement, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Assess quality risks and provide clear visibility into product quality and release readiness.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and test coverage.
- Develop and maintain automated tests using an internal automation framework to increase test coverage and improve delivery quality.
Requirements
For that mission you’ll need:
- 3+ years of experience in software testing of complex systems.
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent degree.
- Knowledge of SQL, Linux, Wireshark, and Windows Servers.
- Testing experience with 3G, 4G, VoLTE, and 5G technologies.
- Testing experience with IP protocols such as VOIP, TCP/IP, FTP, and related networking protocols.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Docker, or equivalent technologies.
- Strong working knowledge of Linux associated tools, scripting and troubleshooting
- Experience with end-to-end testing across multiple systems.
- Good understanding of client-server architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience creating test plans, test cases, and test documentation.
- Experience with test automation and scripting, including writing and maintaining automated tests using test automation frameworks.
- Experience working with Jira, Quality Center, or similar defect-tracking tools.
- Experience utilizing AI-powered tools and technologies to improve testing efficiency, test design, defect analysis, troubleshooting, and overall software quality processes.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently while being an effective team player.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent English – verbal and written.
