Position Summary:
We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) software engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs. If you hold an engineering background and enjoy providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems, we’d like to meet you.
This role will be located in Redaptive’s Pune, India office, with an expectation to work regularly during Pune evenings / USA mornings to align with teams across several international time zones including Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Create and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Conduct thorough testing of APIs, databases (SQL), and user interfaces to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with product owners and development engineers for End to End Quality and Automation needs.
- Contribute to effectively Automating the Manual Tasks so as to reduce the manual efforts and minimize the production incidents with each releases.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet customer needs.
- Utilize a comprehensive understanding of software design principles, data structures and design patterns to write Test Automation code following best practices.
Job Duty : Time Spent Performing Duty :
Automation Testing : 70%
Manual Testing : 30%
Required Abilities and Skills:
- Good with Coding skills and strong hands-on experience on Web based automated tools like Selenium ensuring high quality and reliability of software applications.
- Knowledge of execution of automated test cases and API automation testing using Postman/Rest Assured.
- Solid knowledge of SQL Rest Aps Junit /TestNG and scripting.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug automated test scripts to address issues and improve test efficiency.
- Passionate about Overall Quality of the Application with Automation First approach.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and proactive communication abilities.
- Exposure of working in an Agile/Scrum development process is added value.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
- 3-5 years’ work experience in software quality assurance.
- 2+ years of experience in automation frameworks in BDD – Gherkin and Cucumber
- Experience in building efficiency, HVAC systems, and energy is a plus.
- Proven work experience in software development.

This role does not involve any international travel.
