Job Title: Automation Test Engineer – Mainframe, AVP

Location: Pune, India

Role Description

• Our Investments – agile teams at Deutsche Bank - Private Bank (TDI) develop and maintain applications for securities business of Private Customers. Changes are generally announced on short notice due to regulatory requirements or time to market challenges. Quality and stability has priority together with time to market.
• We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Test Automation Engineer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts specifically for mainframe applications. This role involves collaborating with Development, Business Analysts and QA teams to create automation tests, identify and resolve issues, and ensure quality and performance of mainframe-based applications.

Your Key  Responsibilities

• Automation Framework Development: Design and develop robust test automation frameworks tailored to mainframe applications.
• Test Script Creation and Maintenance: Perform functional tests & develop automated test scripts for regression tests in mainframe environments. Continuous improvement and updating of existing tests.
• Test Execution and Analysis: Execute automated test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with Business analysts, Test/Product managers and Developers to understand application requirements and use cases.
• Documentation and Reporting: Document test automation frameworks, scripts, and processes.

Your Skills and Experience

• Technical Proficiency:   Experience in mainframe with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2/SQL & MQ. Strong experience with test automation tools (Selenium/UFT/TOSCA) and ALM, Jira, Confluence.
• Automation and Scripting:  Min 5 years of experience in test automation, with a focus on mainframe applications.
• Quality Assurance and Testing: Understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional and regression testing.
• Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve issues within test automation frameworks and scripts.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM environment including agile tooling and methodology together with Knowledge of investment business and its operations.
