We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer. This position will be full-time and Onsite Gurugram.
What You’ll Do
- Define test strategy and scope for new features and enhancements.
- Create detailed test cases, acceptance criteria, and traceability matrices.
- Implement automation frameworks using Playwright, TestNG.
- Automate UI, API, and database test scenarios.
- Schedule and run automated test suites via Jenkins,
- Ensure automation is aligned with CI/CD processes and supports shift-left testing.
- Execute manual testing for critical flows, edge cases, and usability.
- Perform API testing using Postman, automated scripts.
- Conduct performance testing using JMeter.
- Log and track defects using JIRA.
- Prioritize, triage, and retest issues to closure.
- Provide daily/weekly status reports on testing progress, coverage, and risks.
- Work closely with Developers, DevOps, and Product Owners to resolve defects early.
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions to ensure testability.
- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and mentor junior testers.
- Work with Developers to ensure testability and faster defect resolution.
- Partner with DevOps Engineers to embed tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Support Product Managers in defining acceptance criteria and UAT plans.
- Coordinate with Security & Compliance Teams for vulnerability testing.
- Test Automation: Selenium WebDriver, TestNG (Good to have).
- API Testing: Postman, Swagger.
- Performance Testing: JMeter, Gatling.
- CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps.
- Databases: MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL.
- Version Control: Git, Bitbucket.
- Defect Tracking: JIRA, Azure DevOps.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Mandatory).
- ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst / Certified Software Test Automation Engineer (Preferred).
- 7–10 years of experience in manual and automation testing for web, mobile, and API services.
- Hands-on experience in API testing.
- Experience in performance testing and integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS) is an advantage.
Physical Demands
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationery most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
