Team Overview
You will be working on BlackRock's investment operating system called Aladdin. Aladdin is used both internally within BlackRock and externally by many financial institutions. Aladdin combines sophisticated risk analytics with comprehensive portfolio management, trading, and operations tools on a single platform to power informed decision-making and create a connective tissue for thousands of users investing worldwide.
Our Quality Assurance teams reside inside the Aladdin Engineering group. We collaboratively build the next generation of technology that changes the way information, people, and technology intersect for global investment firms. We build and package tools that manage trillions in assets and supports millions of financial instruments. We perform risk calculations and process millions of transactions for thousands of users every day worldwide!
Being a member of Aladdin Engineering, you will be:

• Exposure to production monitoring, observability, and APM tools. This can be part of Must have first section
• Execute performance and non‑functional testing to ensure system scalability, stability, and reliability.
• Create and execute performance test scripts, analyze results, and identify system bottlenecks.
• Mandatory experience in AI implementation
• Conduct heap dump and thread dump analysis to diagnose memory leaks, performance degradation, and concurrency issues.
• Perform root cause analysis for performance and production issues in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Monitor application health and performance using industry‑standard monitoring and observability tools.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross‑functional global teams.
• Ensure high standards of quality, documentation, and test coverage throughout the SDLC.

• Strong experience in QA Automation using Java and modern testing frameworks.
• Solid understanding of backend systems, APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with performance testing concepts, including:
  • Load testing
  • Stress testing
  • Scalability testing
• Strong experience in test scripting and performance analysis.
• Practical exposure to heap dump and thread dump analysis for JVM‑based applications.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build processes.
• Good understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

• Experience working in financial services or product‑based engineering environments.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for backend and UI applications.
• Perform end‑to‑end functional, regression, and integration testing across microservices‑based systems.
• Exposure to production monitoring, observability, and APM tools.
• Experience supporting performance testing in large‑scale distributed systems.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based platforms and containerized environments.

• Strong ownership mindset with focus on quality and performance.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Curiosity to deep‑dive into system behavior and resolve complex technical issues.
• Clear communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Our hybrid work model
