Responsible for manual testing in the payments domain, developing test cases, collaborating with automation teams, and ensuring compliance with quality standards during an upgrade process.
Job Title: Quality Engineer – TCS BaNCS Payments Upgrade
Experience Required: 3–5 years of experience in software testing, with strong domain expertise in payment systems and a deep understanding of critical payment rails to ensure Seamless Migration Assurance and end-to-end Quality Intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
- Perform manual testing to validate system behavior across multiple payment rails.
- Collaborate with automation teams to identify test cases suitable for automation.
- Provide inputs for automation scripts and frameworks.
- Validate the upgrade from BaNCS v10 to v14 ensuring zero disruption in payment flows.
- Conduct end-to-end testing across integrated systems and interfaces.
- Log, track, and verify defects using standard tools.
- Work closely with developers and business analysts for timely resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving test coverage and efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in software testing, with strong understanding of critical payment rails: SWIFT, SAMOS, CBPR+, SADC, FX.
- Experience in manual testing and test case design.
- Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, UFT, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with TCS BaNCS Payments module.
- Knowledge of cross-border payments, real-time gross settlement systems, and foreign exchange workflows.
- Proficiency in defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM).
- Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and migration testing methodologies.
