Project Role Description : Leads a team of quality engineers through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Applies business and functional knowledge to develop end-to-end testing strategies through the use of quality processes and methodologies. Applies testing methodologies, principles and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing process including test execution and defect resolution.

Summary:
We are looking for a skilled API Test Engineer with strong experience in Java and REST Assured to design, develop, and execute automated tests for RESTful services. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in API automation, test frameworks, and CI/CD integration.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automated API test scripts using Java and REST Assured
- Validate RESTful APIs, including request/response, headers, authentication, and error handling
- Create and maintain test frameworks (TestNG/JUnit-based)
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing of APIs
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins)
- Analyze test results, log defects, and track issues to closure
- Work with tools like Postman/Swagger for API validation
- Ensure test coverage and maintain reusable test scripts

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in API Testing.
- Strong experience in Java programming
- Hands-on experience with REST Assured
- Good understanding of HTTP protocols, REST APIs, and JSON/XML
- Experience with TestNG or JUnit
- Familiarity with Maven/Gradle
- Experience in API automation frameworks
- Knowledge of Git version control
- Understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, etc.)
- Strong debugging and analytical skills

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in API Testing.
-Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber)
- Knowledge of Microservices architecture
- Exposure to Docker/Kubernetes
- Performance testing basics (JMeter)
