The Role 
The Manager, Regional & Functional Communications enables effective, scalable communication across Vialto’s regions and functions. This role partners with regional and functional stakeholders to support communications aligned to enterprise priorities, ensuring messaging is clear, consistent, and locally relevant. 

Through guidance, tools, and best practices, this role helps the organization communicate more effectively at scale—supporting cross-functional initiatives while enabling regional and functional teams to deliver their own communications. 

This role sits within the Internal Communications team and reports to the Sr. Manager, Internal Communications. It works closely with the Manager, Enterprise Communications to ensure strong alignment between enterprise messaging and regional and functional execution.

 Please note: this is an individual contributor role, with manager title aligning to a global team architecture.  

Responsibilities 

Regional & Functional Partnership  

  • Act as a primary communications partner for regional and functional stakeholders, providing guidance and support for cross-functional initiatives. 

  • Support translation of enterprise priorities into relevant, audience appropriate messaging for regions and functions. 

  • Partner closely with Enterprise Communications to align on enterprise priorities, ensuring consistency in messaging while adapting communications for regional and functional audiences. 

  • Support the establishment and activation of employee communities (e.g., functional or regional groups) to enable connection, knowledge sharing, and consistent communication across the organization. 

  • Help stakeholders adopt consistent communication approaches that align with enterprise standards and ways of working. 

  • Support stakeholders in applying communication frameworks and best practices to their day-to-day communications. 

Messaging & Channel Guidance 

  • Provide clear messaging and channel guidance to help stakeholders communicate effectively. 

  • Support effective communication by guiding stakeholders on messaging, structure, and channel selection based on communication needs and impact. 

  • Advise on the right channels for the right messages, balancing enterprise consistency with local needs. 

  • Support coordinated rollouts across regions and functions. 

  • Reinforce adoption of communication standards and channel best practices across regions and functions. 

 

Core Channels & Content Creation 

  • Lead and support ongoing content development for core enterprise channels, including the intranet and Vialto’s all-employee newsletter. 

  • Support development of engaging content aligned with enterprise messaging and tone. 

  • Support editorial quality and consistency across channels. 

  • Partner with Enterprise Communications and stakeholders to coordinate and deliver content aligned to enterprise priorities. 

  • Enable regions and functions to create their own content through guidance, templates, and best practices. 

Templates, Toolkits & Best Practices 

  • Develop, maintain, and evolve communication templates, toolkits, and playbooks. 

  • Support the development and evolution of best practices that improve communication quality, efficiency, and consistency. 

  • Enable regional and functional teams to deliver their own communications through scalable tools, templates, and guidance. 

  • Operationalize communication standards through practical tools, templates, and guidance that enable consistent, scalable communication. 

Insights, Metrics & Feedback 

  • Act as a key feedback loop, bringing insights from regions and functions back into enterprise communications planning and decision-making. 

  • Identify trends, challenges, and opportunities across regions and functions to inform communication strategy and channel improvements. 

  • Track metrics and reporting related to channel performance and enablement effectiveness. 

  • Use insights to refine templates, guidance, and communication practices to better support the business. 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience) 

  • 6+ years in internal, corporate, or enterprise communications, ideally within a global or matrixed organization 

  • Experience supporting regional or functional stakeholders across geographies and time zones 

  • Proven ability to partner with stakeholders to shape communications, providing guidance and influencing outcomes without direct authority 

  • Demonstrated experience creating communication templates, guidance, or enablement materials 

  • Experience supporting scalable communication approaches, including developing repeatable processes, templates, or frameworks 

  • Experience managing ongoing content for internal channels such as intranet sites or employee newsletters 

  • Comfort working in evolving environments, with the ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous or developing processes 

  • Experience using communication metrics or feedback to inform content, channels, or stakeholder guidance
