Where we work

Udemy is a global company headquartered in San Francisco, with additional U.S. offices in Denver and Austin, and international hubs in Australia, India, Ireland, Mexico, and Türkiye. This is an in-office position, requiring three days a week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.

About your skills

Contract Management: Overseeing the creation, execution, and analysis of contracts at the renewal period to ensure compliance, negotiate favorable terms, document changes, and mitigate risks while maintaining strong client relationships.

Customer Relationship Management: (CRM) Managing and analyzing customer interactions and data in CRM systems to understand client behaviors, track renewal opportunities, and utilize various communication channels to enhance customer satisfaction and drive revenue growth.

Negotiation: Engaging in strategic dialogue with customers and stakeholders to reach mutually beneficial agreements by understanding and addressing the needs and interests of all parties while protecting organizational objectives.

Account Management: Building and maintaining strategic client relationships, understanding customer needs and business objectives, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver value and drive successful renewals and growth opportunities.

About this role

We are looking for a Renewals Manager to help us grow our revenue base and continue to drive world-class retention and renewal rates. In this role, you will proactively manage a portfolio of Enterprise client renewals, ensuring on-time customer retention and high dollar-over-dollar renewal rates. You will partner closely with our Customer Success and Account Executive teams to maintain and grow our account base while establishing scalable renewal processes.

This role requires strong relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate complex negotiations while maintaining exceptional client experiences. You will work autonomously to manage renewal forecasts, collaborate across multiple functions, and drive successful outcomes for both customers and Udemy. As a Renewals Manager, you will play a critical role in building sustainable renewal processes that support our continued growth and customer success.

What you’ll be doing 

  • Proactively manage a portfolio of Enterprise client renewals, ensuring on-time retention and optimal renewal rates
  • Strategise with Customer Success Managers and Account Executives on renewal scenarios and growth opportunities for each client
  • Negotiate renewal terms directly with client procurement teams and decision-makers while maintaining strong relationships
  • Leverage renewal conversations to demonstrate business value and ROI computations, optimize multi-year subscriptions, and expand partnerships
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and track all renewal activity in CRM systems, providing regular updates to leadership
  • Prepare renewal proposals, rate calculations, and contract documentation in collaboration with Finance and Legal teams
  • Proactively report on renewal health, identify at-risk accounts, and develop action plans for successful outcomes
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Deal Desk and Legal teams to ensure contract accuracy and compliance

What you’ll have 

  • 4+ years of B2B SaaS renewals experience working with Enterprise-level accounts
  • Proven track record of managing complex renewal negotiations and achieving retention targets Experience working autonomously and managing multiple stakeholder relationships across different time zones
  • Strong time management and analytical skills with experience maintaining accurate 120 day rolling forecasts and tracking renewal metrics
  • Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce and customer success platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate favorable terms for complex deals while preserving client relationships
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with experience engaging C-level executives
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with the ability to build and improve scalable processes
