This role requires regular alignment with the U.S. Eastern business day and is primarily a night-shift position based in India (generally 6:30 PM–3:30 AM IST during U.S. daylight saving time and 7:30 PM–4:30 AM IST during standard time). Flexibility during quarter-end and year-end close periods is expected.

What You'll Do
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue accounting close process for assigned areas

  • Prepare monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis for revenue and AR related accounts

  • Manage full accounts receivable processes for committed customers, including invoice preparation, collections, maintaining customer billing portals, and reserve recommendations

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, taxation, and completion of invoicing prerequisites (i.e. procuring of purchase orders, completion of supplier registration forms)

  • Manage the order to cash process, reviewing contracts, syncing opportunities from SalesForce to Netsuite, and setting up sales orders in our accounting system to ensure proper revenue recognition and compliance

  • Support business processes by partnering with other departments, including but not limited to the FP&A, Billing, Analytics, Revenue Operations, Support, and Sales

  • Assist with preparation for the annual financial statement audit

 
What We Believe are Important Traits for This Role
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, including 1–3 years of revenue accounting experience.

  • BS in Finance or Accounting

  • Netsuite or similar ERP system experience required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple tasks at once

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Results focused while ensuring weekly/monthly billing deadlines are met

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pluses, but not required

  • CPA with Big 4 experience

  • Experience with Stripe, Salesforce, and FloQast

  • Experience with usage-based or consumption-based revenue models
